ColonPolypAI

Our Innovation

Colorectal cancer is a significant global health concern, with colon polyps serving as precursors to this deadly disease. Current screening methods, such as colonoscopy, heavily rely on the human eye for polyp identification, leading to missed detections and potential adverse outcomes.

ColonPolypAI is an artificial intelligence-powered software system that assists physicians in detecting colon polyps during colonoscopy procedures. By analysing endoscopy videos, our deep learning models work to improve polyp detection rates and advance colorectal cancer screening effectiveness.

ColonPolypAI addresses this challenge by employing advanced computer vision and deep learning techniques. Our system acts as an intelligent "second opinion," assisting physicians in accurately identifying polyps during colonoscopies.

Intended Impact

Colorectal cancer remains a leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. If adopted widely, we estimate ColonPolypAI could detect thousands more pre-cancerous polyps each year. Improving early detection significantly boosts patient survival. Our goal is to continually advance outcomes and transform colon cancer into a highly preventable disease through innovative AI applications.

Beyond colonoscopy, our long-term vision involves developing virtual colonoscopy using AI analysis of capsule endoscopy videos. This noninvasive approach could revolutionize screening, making it more accessible and increasing participation rates globally.

ColonPolypAI represents our commitment to harnessing the power of AI for the greater good. By enhancing screening accuracy, we aim to make a lasting impact on colorectal cancer prevention and improve patient outcomes.
